Speech and Language Therapist to work with young people with SLCN aged 11 -17
New Dragons Youth Club
Hourly rate: £16 (paid monthly)
Thanks to funding from the Big Lottery & Flintshire County Council, we run a weekly Youth Club at the Youth wing, Argoed High School, Bryn Road, Bryn y Baal, MOLD CH7 6RY.

The youth club runs during term time on a Thursday evening from 6pm – 8pm. The aims of the Youth Clubs/projects are simple. We want to provide opportunities for the young people we represent.

  • to improve their social communication skills
  • to enable them to build & maintain friendships
  • to improve their life skills
  • reduce their feelings of social isolation

Thanks to funding from the Big Lottery & Conwy CC, we run a weekly Youth Club at The TAPE Community Arts Centre, Myn y Don Park, Berthes Road, Old Colwyn LL29 9SD.

The youth club runs during term time on a Thursday evening from 6pm – 8pm. The aims of the Youth Clubs/projects are simple. We want to provide opportunities for the young people we represent.

  • to improve their social communication skills
  • to enable them to build & maintain friendships
  • to improve their life skills
  • reduce their feelings of social isolation

Afasic Trustee for Wales
We are currently looking to recruit a Trustee to represent the interests of our families in Wales. Candidates should be enthusiastic and committed individuals and a parent member of Afasic.

This role is voluntary and therefore unpaid (although reasonable travel expenses will be met). Administrative support is provided by the CEO’s PA.
