Welsh language policy
Afasic Cymru is not a public body as defined by the Welsh Language Board Act 1993, however it has committed itself to working to ensure language choice. Afasic Cymru undertakes to ensure that users, staff and volunteers have the right to access our services in Welsh as a chosen language. This policy notes those services which are already provided in Welsh, and which will provide a basis for future developments.
This policy will form part of the Afasic Cymru strategic plan within Wales. Afasic Cymru has adopted the principle that in the conduct of its services within Wales it will treat Welsh and English languages on the basis of equality. This policy sets how Afasic Cymru will give effect to that principle when providing services to the client group in Wales.
