Moving up to secondary school
Moving up to high school can be very scary for lots of young people. You are not alone!
Young people – come along and meet others moving up to high school at the same time as you, discuss your thoughts and concerns about starting secondary school.
Parents/carers – a member of our Afasic team will talk through your thoughts and feelings around your child’s transition and provide some strategies to help support your young person.

Colwyn Bay Cricket Club in association with Cricket Wales Conwy County Council are commencing their second year providing cricket for disabled sports men and women and those over 14 interested in playing the game.

Boys and Girls Clubs of Wales
In addition to running sport courses, BGC Wales also offer all young leaders and volunteers the opportunity to undertake the Level 2 and 3 Awards in Youth Work, in partnership with the YMCA Community College. They are very keen to encourage leaders and volunteers to continually develop their learning so they can reach their potential, and see these courses as a fantastic and inspiring way to do just that.

Disabled football group
There is a brilliant disabled football group that meet every Friday evening 5pm-6pm at Pontllanfraith Leisure Centre.
It is a group catering for all ages, all disabilities and regardless of if you have had any previous football experience.
The group would welcome all newcomers and there is no need to book, just turn up.
